‘Criminal Minds’ has been one of the most sought-after shows in CBS. For people who are thrill-seeking, the show has been a go-through for the past few years. But just this year, the show’s viewership rating seems to be declining for a much unknown reason. Should we blame this to the characters of the show?

According to Inquisitr, the series has been part of the most revenue-earning shows in CBS. But it seems like all were reversed when sudden exit of lead characters were experienced in the show. Thomas Gibson and Shemar Moore, who fans believed contributed to the fame and success of ‘Criminal Minds’, recently left the show for different reasons. With this, the show’s rating started to fluctuate leaving everyone thinking of what could happen next.

For everyone’s information, Thomas Gibson decided to leave the show because of the feud between the series’ co-writer and executive producer, Virgil Williams. All those controversies before the 12th season of ‘Criminal Minds’ was about to premiere.

‘Criminal Minds’ Ratings Showed Thomas Gibson And Shemar Moore Contributed Well In The Show’s Success

Moreover, Thomas Gibson and Shemar Moore seems to be one of the biggest reason why the show’s fame has been declining. It was remembered that during the stay of Gibson and Moore in the 10th season, an average of 14.32 million viewers are always looking forward to see the series. In its first premiere on 2005, it raked over 19 million fans compare to the 8 million viewers this season. This showed a drastic change that had happened throughout the life of ‘Criminal Minds’

Some believed that the noise of Thomas Gibson’s were very effective in advertising to boycott the show. Gibson supporters have been very visible in social media accounts with their hashtag #NoHotchNoWatch.

But up until today, Criminal Minds still has one of the highest records in comparison to the tv series being shown in different channels today. Recently, the series was ranked No. 28 in the most watched shows by people ranging from 18-24 years old.
