“Criminal Minds” is slowly building up the thrill for their 250th episode airing in two weeks. But before that, a Derek (Shemar Moore) centric episode is coming on March 2.

A lot has been speculated about the episode aptly titled “Derek” as Danny Glover is supposed to be a guest star playing, Hank, Derek’s father. Long time fans of the show already know that Derek’s father died a long time ago. So, it is interesting to know how the show will incorporate him in the storyline. As previously reported, some rumors point to Derek being in a critical condition, so he will see his father.

According to a report by website Hollywood Hills, the BAU (Behavioral Analysis Unit) will work double time in order to find and eventually save Derek who was abducted. In the promo clip, Glover’s role will not be the fatherly type as he is seen torturing a tied up Derek while creepily talking to him.

The official synopsis of the episode reads, “When Morgan is abducted, the BAU scrambles to find him and save his life.”

Moving forward to the much awaited 250th episode titled “Sandman,” reports claim that while it will be the the monumental chapter, the story will end in a cliffhanger only to be continued the following week with “Beautiful Disaster.” The two-part story will follow the BAU members tracking down an unknown sub called the Sandman. Cast members Joe Mantegna who plays David Rossi and Matthew Gray Gubler who plays Spencer Reid will be directing episode 250 and 251, respectively, while Kirsten Vangsness playing Penelope Garcia will be co-penning episode 251 with showrunner Erica Messer.

Find out whether Derek will get saved just in time by the BAU in “Criminal Minds” airing every Wednesday night, 9 P.M. on CBS.
