The new season of “Criminal Minds” is a mere matter of months away, and we know there are many things to look forward to … including the arrival of a new series regular in Adam Rodriguez. He’s a CBS veteran who is coming on board the show at a time of transition, given that many are still trying to process the departure of Shemar Moore.
The great thing about Adam is that we know he can play a variety of different speeds. He can be serious when the situation calls for it, and then also funny and lighthearted at others. The video below from the show’s official Twitter account is your first chance to see him on the set of the show, and we love the enthusiasm that he has to be on the job.
Adam also proves to be good for promoting the show, given that he does specifically mention the September 28 premiere date in here.
Story-wise, it is a little eary to know precisely what we’re going to see for Adam, Thomas Gibson, or any other member of the cast … but we can speak in more general terms. At the end of season 11, many former UnSubs of the BAU escaped from prison, and as a result of that the team will have their hands full trying to wrangle many of them up before they cause more damage. Mr. Scratch so far is the only specific escapee we’re aware of, but there should be some other names and faces who turn up.
For season 12, we really dig the twist. It gives a reward to those out there who have watched the show since the beginning, and play close attention to some of the folks who have been captured.
