Despite pushing the issue, it looks like Thomas Gibson is unlikely to return to “Criminal Minds” as Aaron Hotchner as he has just been written off in the last episode. The fans have been asking the network to give the actor a proper goodbye on the series but somehow, it seems like that is not going to happen.

Aaron Hotchner Written Off “Criminal Minds” Season 12 As A Result For Thomas Gibson Getting Fired

As it can be recalled, Thomas Gibson was fired form “Criminal Minds” while they were filming for season 12, after an altercation that occurred between him and one of the producers. This was reportedly not the first time that an incident as such has happened because of his temper, thus prompting the production team to fire him from the show. This has devastated the fans of the series since the actor has been in the show since the very first season, thus they are demanding for the actor to be given a proper exit, like what they did to Shemar Moore.

However, despite the fans pushing for his return, or at least given a proper goodbye, it hasn’t happened yet and it doesn’t seem to happen at all. He simply left the BAU to allegedly focus on a case, and all of a sudden his character has resigned from the team due to threats bombarded towards him and his son, Jack. He never showed his face again after the second episode of the season, which has frustrated many of the fans. They all believe he deserved so much more than just being written off from the show.

Upcoming Episode To Be Aired Next Week; Current Timeslot Replaced By Extension Of Another Series

The upcoming episode seven of “Criminal Minds” season 12 was supposed to air this week, but for some reasons was pushed back to next week instead. Nevertheless, there have been additional promos and teasers for the upcoming episode while the fans wait for its release date. Even though the ratings have gone down ever since losing Hotch, some fans are still very loyal and are waiting for its airdate every week.
